Summer of Giving: DSTI Employees Step Up and Give BackPublished on September 29, 2014
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - September 29, 2014 - DSTI, the leading manufacturer in Andover, made great strides over the past four months, recently wrapping up its employee-powered Summer of Giving program.
Aimed at giving employees more outlets to give back, the program featured a variety of events that spread awareness about local community issues.
DSTI's Summer of Giving kicked off with employees packing more than 43,000 meals for Feed My Starving Children, a local non-profit dedicated to feeding children and adults worldwide.
In July, DSTI and The Memorial Blood Center partnered in a one-day blood drive with an effort to help minimize the current shortage of usable blood in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Over 50 percent of DSTI employees participated.
Employees also donated school supplies to HOPE 4 Youth, a non-profit organization serving homeless young people in Anoka County.
In August, DSTI employees raised money and participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to help bring awareness to the cause.

DSTI finished its Summer of Giving with donations to help support local veterans and their families and an effort to make its community a brighter place by participating in the Adopt-A-Street clean-up program.
