DSTI Volunteers at Feed My Starving Children

DSTI shut down its production for the afternoon to volunteer at the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) organization located in Coon Rapids, MN.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - October 1, 2010 - DSTI shut down its production for the afternoon to volunteer at the Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) organization located in Coon Rapids, MN.

DSTI's employees spent the afternoon packing meals for children all over the world. The group helped prepare and pack a record 36,504 meals, enough to feed 100 children for an entire year. FMSC representatives announced a packing record which nearly doubled the output of past meal packing sessions.

"This was an exciting team-building experience for our company and for a great cause," said John Knoll, Vice President of Sales at DSTI. "The collaboration of our recently expanded team, working together accurately weighing and packaging meals at an incredible pace was truly astonishing."

The company prepared and packaged small pouches of food consisting of rice, soy, vitamins, minerals and dehydrated vegetables.

Since 1987, FMSC has produced and distributed over 100 million meals to more than 60 countries, with help from over 416,000 volunteers. For more information about FMSC, please visit www.fmsc.org
