Custom Rotary Unions - General Information

DSTI offers complete custom rotary union design & build services which include manufacturing, assembly and testing of all products in-house. The experienced Engineering staff will design a custom rotating union (see examples below) that will fit into your space envelope, transfer your media, handle your system pressures and operate at your rotational speeds.

Product Options Examples:

Seal Designs: Standard & specialized O-ring seals, mechanical face seals, Teflon® impregnated seal band, FDA approved seals for foodservice, energized lip seals, hydrodynamic seals, and others.
Electrical Sliprings and Data Transfer Devices: Electrical sliprings for power, data, and signal transfer; fiber-optic rotary joints; rotary sensors for position and other data feedback.
Materials: Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass, Alloys, Tool Steels, Hastalloy, Titanium, PEEK®, Teflon®, and other specialty materials.
Platings & Coatings: Black Oxide, Anodized, Standard & Teflon® impregnated E-Nickel, QPQ, Ceramic coated, Nedox® and others.
Design Integration: Custom unions can be designed to also function as a drive shaft, bearing block, distribution manifold, mounting surface, and other.
