History

Dynamic Sealing Technologies, Inc. (DSTI) was founded in January of 2002 with the vision to grow as a leader in design and production of multiple passage rotating unions for diverse industries. The initial goal was to focus on Specialized Rotary Unions & Swivel Joints for application-specific use.

In addition, off-the-shelf Rotary Union Product Lines were designed and manufactured to serve general application needs with options for a number of different electrical slip rings. The standard series products were an industry first in offering modular standard rotary union & slip ring combinations that allow the customer to configure an Electrical Slip Ring assembly with off the shelf components.

Acquisitions

In 2005, DSTI acquired Scott Rotary Seals (SRS) in Hinsdale, NY. Founded in 1960, SRS manufactures complex fluid sealing products used in a wide range of similar industrial applications to DSTI. Products include rotary timing valves (RTVs) and custom rotary unions and swivel joints. SRS operates as a separate division of DSTI and continues to provide its expertise in the rotary timing valve & custom rotary union markets.

In 2007, DSTI acquired Blakeslee Technologies Inc. (BT), founded in 2000. This acquisition allowed SRS to become the largest provider of RTV products worldwide. BT operations have been merged with existing operations at SRS.
